[0:27] PowerPoint. It lives in asidebar right

[0:30] inside of theapp and you never have to

[0:31] leave the deck to use it. OpenAI breaks

[0:33] the whole thing down into four core

[0:34] features: build, update, understand, and

[0:37] polish. I'm going to walk you through

[0:38] each one in just a second, but the most

[0:40] important thing to know up front,

[0:42] everything it creates stays fully

[0:45] editable. We're not talking about flat

[0:47] images here like some competitors. It

[0:49] writes directly into native text boxes

[0:51] and shapes, so you can make changes if

[0:54] you disagree with something. So, how do

[0:56] you get started with this? well, it's

[0:57] really simple. All you need is free

[0:59]ChatGPT account and PowerPoint. Whether

[1:01] that's Windows or Mac, both will work.

[1:03] Now, here's one note. This is available

[1:05] for the web version too, but in our

[1:06] testing that did not work close to as

[1:09] well as the desktop ones do, so stick

[1:11] with the desktop versions of PowerPoint

[1:13] and let's get going. To set it up, you

[1:15] open up your own PowerPoint. You start a

[1:17] new presentation, then you navigate to

[1:19] the home tab up here. You click add-ins

[1:23] and in the search box you're going to

[1:24] search forChatGPT. going to hit the add

[1:26] button and then open it from the ribbon

[1:29] up here. And finally, you just sign in

[1:30] with your OpenAI account and voila,

[1:44] files that we actually use for our

[1:51] kind of the ultimate file on this

[1:53] YouTube channel, what we are, what we

[1:55] are not, what works, what our values are,

[1:57] and so much more. It's a written

[1:58] breakdown of everything. And then I have

[2:00] a export of our actual YouTube analy

[2:03] for 2026.

[2:05] Now, you'll have different files, but

[2:07] I'm just showing you these are two files

[2:08] I have. You can upload this right into

[2:10] here, and now we will proceed to turn

[2:11] them into a presentation. well, I'll say

[2:13] is something like, "Build an eight-square

[2:15] state of the channel deck for our team

[2:17] using these two files. Lead with what's

[2:19] working, what's not, and what we should

[2:20] double down on next quarter." This is

[2:22] just what I had on my mind with some

[2:24] specific slides that I expect, but you

[2:26] could keep this open-ended and just let

[2:28]ChatGPT be create. I'll just send. So, right now it's working. It's

[2:30] pulling specific numbers from those

[2:31] analyze. It's getting the channel

[2:34] position straight from the DNA

[2:36]document that I have. It's building real

[2:38] slides in the actual deck. And to prove

[2:39] that this is real PowerPoint and not

[2:40] some fake preview, watch me click into

[2:42] this title and just edit it. Like so,

[2:47] do what you want with this deck

[2:48] afterwords. That's honestly my favorite

[2:50] part. Okay, so now let's say I look at

[2:52] the deck and I realize I want to add

[2:54] something. This is where update comes

[2:56] in. So, I can type something like, "Add

[2:57] a slide that breaks down our top five

[2:59] videos by watch time and include

[3:01] takeaways." And it just inserted without

[3:04] touching the rest of the deck. Next up,

[3:05] understand. This one is sneaky power

[3:08] I can ask something like, "Read this

[3:10] deck like you're a channel manager." And

[3:11] it reads my entire deck and gives us a

[3:13] real critical. Weak points, missing data,

[3:15] the questions my team would actually

[3:17] ask. I'm using it just likeChatGPT, but

[3:19] inside of PowerPoint. That's the idea

[3:21] here. honestly, this alone is worth

[3:23] using before you hold any presentation

[3:25] that matters. And finally, polishes. So,

[3:28] for example, I'll select this slide

[3:29] right here and say, "Slide nine has far

[3:31] too much text. Make it more concise."

[3:33] And it rewrites just that slide. Simpler

[3:35] copy, easier language, same inten

[3:38] sw. I love the keyword conical with AI

[3:40] over all. I use it all the time. Now, I

[3:42] told you that we would come back to what

[3:43] sets

[3:45] own Copilot. And this is it, connectors.

[3:48] You can connect ChatGPT in PowerPoint to a ton of different external apps You [3:50] probably use like Gmail, calendar, or the example that we'll be showing here,

So, instead of digging through files to feed it that you can then turn into presentations, you could prompt something like, "Find the page called six reasons to switch to Gemini and turn it into a presentation here." And it goes and grabs that source material for you. So, anything that you can connect, you can turn into raw materials for your decks. Now, this is a paid plan feature.

[4:14] This is not going to be available on the free one. So, real quickly, let's zoom out and let's look at some competing products here because there's some of these out there, right? With Microsoft's own Copilot, which has been there for a while trying to do the same thing. We have Anthropic's Claude, which showed up back in September of last year. They also have an extension like this. And now there's ChatGPT. And here's the wild part. Copilot for PowerPoint costs around $30 per user per month. ChatGPT just walked in and offered the same kind of thing for free. And honestly, this ChatGPT one works the best out of all three of these, which is kind of crazy.

[4:45] And there's also standalone applications like Gamma. We made a standalone video on that. But this also puts real pressure on those because this tool is starting to work so well that why do you need a standalone application if you can just do it in PowerPoint? I think there's still a lot of value to those other apps, but it's still early.

[5:00] honestly, this is a beta right now as OpenAI claims it. If you need to stick to complex corporate templates with custom fonts and brand styling, it can get a little inconsistent sometimes and you might need to polishes and loop back. And also in a similar way, it can sometimes delete content that might matter to you. So, at the end of the day, you always have to review what it produces. And most of time I find this is a starting point, not a finished product, but it's so helpful. And there you go. PowerPoint just got significantly smarter and it's free.
